Dog or Cat Training Consultation

Step 1: A FREE chat

Call, email or you can simply go to my contact page and fill out a short form and arrange a time for a FREE chat. We will then be able to discuss any problems that you are experiencing with your dog or cat.

Step 2: Arrange the First Session on Zoom and Pay the £300 Consult fee.

We arrange the first session over zoom so I can collect as much information as possible before the home visit. At that session you will receive advice to make immediate changes to you and your pets benefit, while I collect information to form a behaviour modification plan. I will send the £300 invoice via sqaure. On receipt of payment we proceed to step 3.

Step 3: Questionnaire and Veterinary Referral

A detailed questionnaire will be sent for you to complete. Try and be as detailed as possible as this will give me a great insight into the problems you are having. It also helps to build a picture of your pet’s lifestyle in general. Behaviour covers a multitude of many different things: exercise, food, where your pet sleeps. Sometimes it is not always possible to see what is right in front of us! It is vital that your dog or cat is in the best possible health. Illness can play a crucial role in any modification programme. If your dog or cat is unwell it is unlikely that they will be able to learn anything new. After all us humans are the same when we are poorly. If your dog or cat has not seen a vet for over a month I will ask you to book an appointment to arrange a health check up with your veterinary surgeon.
I will also ask your vet to fill in a referral form to provide me with your pet’s full medical history if possible.
This will help provide me with the relevant details regarding your pet’s health.

Step 4: The dog or cat consultation PART 1 - via Zoom

The first session over zoom so I can collect as much information as possible before the home visit. At that session you will receive advice to make immediate changes to you and your pets benefit, while I collect information to form a behaviour modification plan. We will arrange the date for the home visit during this session.

Step 5: The Consultation PART 2 - The Home Visit

I always ask that the cat or dog training consultation takes place in your home, and also that you allow for 2 to 3 hours. It is very important to see your pet in their own environment as well as see how the rest of the family interact with them. It can sometimes be very surprising to hear that different people have varying views on what is happening. I therefore ask that all family members attend the consultation. If for any reason someone is unable to attend then I will look to arrange another time with you. Please give at least 24 hours notice. Once we meet we will all have the opportunity to discuss any problems before starting the programme. You will also have the opportunity of understanding and learning about your pet’s behaviour, and more importantly be able to do something about it.

Step 6: The Programme

A few days after the cat or dog training consultation home visit you will be sent a detailed written programme explaining the reasons behind your pet’s behaviour. I will then go on to explain why you might be seeing the behaviour and moreover give you advise as to how I can help you. I will give you clear instructions as well as handouts that will explain how to best work with your pet. The programme will be emailed back to you and I am available via email support if needed. You can also arrange further session if required.

Ongoing support for 4 weeks

You will be given all the support that you need throughout our working together. This can be via phone or email. I will always listen and give you the best possible advise. I am a very patient person and I do ask that you try and be the same with your pet. It is not possible to tell you how long it will take as after all we are working with living beings. All I will say is that if you follow the plan you are more than likely to have some success than none at all.
